Blending Old and New Teaching Methods and Tools in Medical Education

OBJECTIVES To identify a preference for current teaching methods and use new aids through feedback by medical students teachers of first second-year MBBS. METHODOLOGY This cross-sectional study was conducted on 91 MBBS Nowshera Medical College (NMC), Nowshera. Both male female NMC class participated in the study. A proforma-based questionnaire filled out all participants online using Google forms. Participants were given option to select more than one case mode tool teaching. The data collected, analyzed presented tabular graphical forms SPSS version 23. RESULTS Out who responded our research, 45 (49.5%) males, 46(50.5%) female. majority, 74 (81.3%), students, while 17(18.7%) teachers. Most selected option. 48(52.7%) preferred lectures as delivery 35(38.4%) opted SGD, demonstrations 14(15.3%), PBL 33(36.2%), assignments 13(14.2%0 notes 4(4.39%). 60.4% (55) whiteboards markers. Only 15.3% (14) favour Powerpoint use, dissection 25(27.4%), models 29(31.86%), figures 11(12%). CONCLUSION Lectures remain most method basic sciences among along with other methods. Multiple tools must be used during instead solely depending presentations.
